Feline Behaviour Consultations

Structured, humane behavioural support for cats and the people who love them.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, frustrated, or unsure how to help your cat, you’re not alone. Behavioural challenges are often rooted in environmental mismatch, routine disruption, or unmet instinctual needs, not stubbornness or spite.

Together, we’ll identify patterns and create a structured, realistic plan that supports both you and your cat.

This May Be a Good Fit If:

  • Your cat is ambushing, biting, or overstimulated
  • You’re navigating tension between cats
  • There are ongoing litter box concerns (after veterinary rule-out)
  • Your cat seems anxious or unsettled
  • You feel confused about what the behaviour means
  • You want structured guidance, not guesswork

If you are unsure whether behavioural consultation is appropriate, you’re welcome to contact me before booking!

How It Works

Step 1: Intake

You’ll complete a structured intake form detailing your cat’s history, environment, and behavioural patterns and submit photos/videos as requested.

Behavioural assessment requires direct observation. Video documentation is required in most cases to ensure accurate analysis and effective guidance.

Step 2: Consultation Session

During our session, we’ll:

  • Review behaviour patterns
  • Identify contributing factors
  • Discuss environmental setup
  • Outline initial adjustments

Step 3: Structured Plan

You’ll receive a written summary and clear behavioural plan outlining:

  • Environmental changes
  • Routine adjustments
  • Play and enrichment structure
  • Resource management strategies

Step 4: Follow-Up (if applicable)

For extended support tiers, we reassess progress and refine the plan.

Behavioural work is iterative. We adjust based on your cat’s response.

Required Before Booking

To ensure accurate assessment and ethical support:

1. Medical Clearance

Behaviour support requires medical rule-out when behaviour may have a physical component.

A veterinary visit within the last 6 months specific to the behaviour in question is required.

For concerns such as:

  • Litter box issues
  • Aggression
  • Sudden extreme behaviour changes
  • Signs of pain or discomfort

Behaviour work cannot proceed without appropriate medical clearance.

2. Video Documentation

Accurate assessment requires observable context.

Video allows for:

  • Contextual analysis
  • Body language review
  • Environmental assessment
  • Accurate intervention planning

Without documentation, consultation may be limited.
